Reporting to the Supervisor and/or Lead the Stock Clerk is responsible for the following duties:


  • Under direct supervision, performs any combination of required task to replenish and distribute parts within established guidelines to ensure orderly and efficient operations.
  • Provides part availability by ensuring parts are properly stocked in storage locations, IAW SP 712.
  • Performs inventory cycle counts. Fills, picks, transfers requested parts from stock according to order request IAW SP 609, SP 614 and monitors parts that are low in stock for re-ordering.
  • Operates motorized and non-motorized materiel handling equipment IAW SP 645 and may be required to operate company vehicles.
  • Issues and maintains control of all company tools within established guidelines IAW SP 610.
  • Ensures return to stock parts are properly identified, tagged, drained and processed IAW SPs 619 and 697.
  • Ensures the MROS is updated with all enquired transactions and paperwork is completed using proper guidelines.
  • Reviews and maintains Materiel turnover as required IAW SP 715.
  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • All specific job functions as outlined in associated Materiel SPs.
  • Responsible for packing and shipping of parts and materiel to include preparing shipment, determining most economical and efficient shipping method; selecting appropriate shipping container and packing parts to ensure safe delivery.
  • Receives and unloads incoming parts and compares information on packing slip with purchase/transfer/repair order to verify accuracy of shipment. Sorts, counts, packages, labels, unpack and logs inventory that is shipped or received.
  • Records discrepancies or damages to incoming parts and notifies applicable vendor, supervisor and/or purchasing department. Maintains files of shipping/receiving records (i.e., Vendor certificate 8130, transfer orders and/or shipping waybills).
  • Performs computer entry for receiving process.
  • Manages return to stock shelf to include SOS parts. Ensure all CAT II parts and equipment are labeled properly with LLM labels within established guidelines.
  • Reviews and labels Hazmat to ensure proper status and coding; i.e., HMIG.
  • Provides program management for the review, reallocation and reordering of system generated requisitions.
  • Any other tasks as assigned by Supervisor-Spares or Lead Spares Clerk.


  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid Driver’s License. 
  • Climbing and descending work stands and ladders.
  • Picking up parts and manuals up to 50 pounds.
  • Walking throughout the maintenance facility and up and down stairs unassisted.


  • Formal training course in computer data input.
  • Previous experience operating fork lift.
